Draft Standard D09 Now Available for Download
ISAUnited is pleased to announce that D09, Cryptography, Encryption, and Key Management, the ninth Parent Standard of the Defensible 10 Standards, is now available for public download as a pre peer review draft.
This early draft provides practitioners, engineers, students, and organizations a practical way to review the engineering structure, domain expectations, and verification and validation requirements that define cryptography as an architecture and engineering discipline inside the Defensible 10 framework.
A Platform for Engineering Collaboration
D09, Cryptography, Encryption, and Key Management defines measurable engineering expectations for enterprise cryptographic assurance, including:
Cryptographic governance with approved algorithm baselines, parameter registries, and deprecation timelines.
Transport security profiles using standardized protocol and cipher suite policies, mutual authentication for service to service pathways, and enforced certificate validation rules.
Enterprise public key infrastructure architecture with automated certificate issuance, renewal, and revocation workflows that reduce outage risk.
Key lifecycle governance using controlled generation boundaries, rotation windows, revocation procedures, cryptographic erasure practices, and ceremony evidence for high value keys.
Secrets governance that eliminates hard coded credentials through scanning, short lived secret issuance, and auditable access controls.
Operational telemetry and proof using signed, tamper evident audit events, measurable service level objectives, and repeatable verification and validation tests.

The Parent Standards has been added to the official D10S GitHub repository for open visibility:
